Orphanage
Preparation is almost completed for our orphanage compound! It is our goal to open in 2026. We will start with only female children, though later it is possible that we will expand to also take in male children. With the current buildings, we have the capacity to house 10 children. A primary goal of the orphanage is to provide quality care and a home atmosphere.
What we have done
- Built a dorm building
- Built a kitchen and dining-room building
- Built a building for workers to live in
- Built an office building
- Built a short wall around the property
- Installed a water tower
- Painted all buildings
- Bought bunk beds
What is left to be done
These are things we need to complete before we open:
- Furnish buildings with closet shelving, curtains, mosquito nets, and blankets
- Buy the needed equipment for the kitchen
- Install solar panels and batteries in each of the buildings
- Get playground equipment
These are things we will do after opening:
- Make the wall around the property taller
